“I like that I stick out. I was watching ‘Valentine’s Day’ on the plane recently. I have a tiny part in that movie. I was watching all the women — Jessica Biel, and Emma Roberts, and Jennifer Garner and Julia Roberts. They are gorgeous women, and I don’t want to take anything away from them, but they all do have a very classical look, with a very thin nose. I’m watching this parade of these faces and then, boom, it was my face, and I was taken aback. I was like, ‘Oh, my nose is so big!’ I have never in my life thought I had a big nose, but, well, there it was. The first time I was on TV, on ‘Flight of the Conchords,’ someone put up a YouTube clip and said, ‘You’re too ugly to be on TV.’ And I was like, ‘That is exactly why it’s a good thing that I’m on TV.’”

hipsterfood:

peanut butter banana coconut-shake
in a blender, (i promise no more blenders for a while after this!) blend until smooth: 1 large banana, 3 tbsp sweetened peanut butter, a 13.5 oz. can of coconut milk, and 6-10 ice cubes.
to make it extra cold, chill all of the ingredients for a couple of hours or overnight. i wouldn’t suggest adding extra sugar to this - there’s already plenty in the banana & PB. for a lower calorie drink substitute half the coconut milk for rice milk.
serve very cold to 4 people. (a small serving goes a long way!)

Peanut butter shakes are awesome… maybe I will have to try this too.

For most soldiers, joining the Army is a choice. For those who fought during World War II, they had no choice, they were drafted. But learning you are not an American, and fighting anyway, that is heroism.

Private First Class Silvestre Santana Herrera was born in Mexico and brought to the United States at 18-months-old. It wasn’t until he opened a letter when he discovered his true identity.

Contrasts nicely with recent claims that minorities and/or immigrants don’t share “American values.”
